Baltimore, Md. – Fayetteville State University's Dr. LaWanda Miller was named the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) of the Year, as voted by her SWA peers, at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) annual Spring General Assembly Meeting and End-pf-Year Awards Reception in Baltimore, Md. The conference office announced its highest administrative and team awards at the reception on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Dr. Miller is receiving the accolade for the second consecutive year. She was recently named one of five recipients of the Borden Perlman scholarship for the 2019 College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) Convention.
 
Dr. LaWanda Miller serves in multiple capacities on the campus of Fayetteville State University including roles as Assistant Athletics Director for Business Affairs, Senior Woman Administrator, Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Advisor, and Head Cheerleading Coach. She is a member of NACDA, National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), Collegiate Women Sports Awards Committee (CWSA), and Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA).
