FSU Broncos to Host Final CIAA Regular Season Bowling Event

Fayetteville, N.C. – Fayetteville State University will play host to the final regular season Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Bowling Event this weekend at the B&B Bowling Lanes.
 
Competition is set to begin on Friday, March 8th at 11:45 am with all ten participating institutions battling within their respective divisions. Prior to the start of the second day on Saturday at 9:00 am, each institution will honor its seniors during a special awards ceremony. It is estimated that 23 CIAA bowlers will be recognized and given a token of appreciation from their school.
 
Fayetteville State will honor two seniors. Veronica Colon-Santiago has been bowling with the Broncos for the past four seasons. The native of Hope Mills, N.C. is an All-CIAA performer and a 2018-19 Preseason All-CIAA Bowling honoree. Teeya McLean of Tacoma, Washington has been part of the bowing team for two seasons. She transferred to Fayetteville State to play volleyball and has been a asset on the lanes as of recently.
 
The second day of actual competition will begin around 10:00 am.
 
The final day of bowling will begin on Sunday, March 10th at 8:15 am with an individual awards ceremony. Baker Games will start off at 9:00 am.
 
Fayetteville State will open the weekend with an unblemished 38-0 conference record before taking on the CIAA Southern Division for the last time before the conference championships March 23rd - 24th. The Broncos sport a 41-11 overall record.
 
B&B Bowling Lanes is located at 3003 Fort Bragg Road in Fayetteville. Admission is FREE to all spectators.
