
Charlotte, NC – Fayetteville State women's bowling brought home a 12-0 clean sweep against all the Southern Division opponents this past weekend.
In team match play, the Broncos defeated Johnson C. Smith (817-609, 690-653 and 812-575), Shaw (783-618, 841-555, and 743-672), and Livingstone (849-608 and 889-628). Fayetteville State had a two-day pin total of 6,424.
Angel Pope had the second overall highest and best CIAA Southern Division average with a 163.86 in seven games.
Savannah Starling finished fifth and had a 161.43 average.
Cecilia Chafin (160.86 average),
Amber Coley (159.40 average), and
Brittany Worthy (158.88 average) finished right behind Starling. Freshman
Melanie Letourneau took tenth with an average of 158.83.
The Broncos finished their Baker Match with a 4-0 record after defeating Johnson C. Smith (884-656), Shaw (892-698), and Livingstone (908-637 and 877-618).
Fayetteville State will take part in the CIAA Divisional Meet II from January 24th through the 26th in Richmond, VA.
