PETERSBURG, VA - Three Fayetteville State bowlers combined for six 200-plus pin games on Friday, as the Lady Broncos rolled to a 5-0 start at CIAA Event II in Petersburg, VA.
Crystal Mujica had FSU's highest score of the day - a 236 - while Jasmin Aponte scored three games of 200-plus; 203, 200 and 207. Ashley Cooper also recorded a 211.
Mujica had the team's highest average (193.6). She opened the first game of the day against Shaw with the 236.
Aponte followed with an average of 186.6 and Cooper with a 184.8.
The Lady Broncos beat five Southern Division foes, each by at least 142 pins.
Fayetteville State (18-0 this season) started the morning off with a 949-730 victory. The ladies followed that up with wins over Livingstone (906-604), Johnson C. Smith (870-662), Winston-Salem State (890-748) and St. Augustine's (850-697).
The Lady Broncos will resume play tomorrow against each Southern Division team before Baker matches on Sunday.
