Salisbury, NC - Fayetteville State University Lady Bronco bowlers closed out its 2007 regular season by winning the CIAA Western Division 3rd Bowling Challenge 15-0 this past weekend.
The challenge was hosted by Livingstone College. The win improves FSU's record to 59-1 overall and gave the Lady Broncos their fifth consecutive Western Division Championship, and their sixth in seven seasons. The only loss suffered by the Lady Broncos was to Saint Paul's College in the 7th Annual CIAA Bowling East-West Tournament. The Lady Broncos are currently ranked 15th in the latest National Tenpin Association Monthly Poll.
Danielle Fesco led all Lady Bronco' bowlers with a 200 average for the three-day event. Also contributing to the win were teammates Jessica Donnelly 195, Jessica Florit 185, Christina Henry 170, Jennifer Montgomery 170, and Akira Turner 170.
The Lady Broncos begins action in the 7th Annual CIAA Bowling Championship Sunday, November 11th at University Lanes at Charlotte, NC. The championship is hosted by Johnson C. Smith University
