Hampton, VA - Fayetteville State University Head Volleyball Coach, Elorine Hill, has been honored as the 2007 CIAA Volleyball Coach of the Year. Hill has led the Lady Broncos to an undefeated conference (13-0) and Western Division (8-0) season, breezing through on their way to the 2007 CIAA Volleyball Championship with a 4-0 record. Hill should also be given credit for coaching the CIAA Player of the Year, Chekimbrell Jefferson and having seven Lady Broncos selected to the CIAA All-Conference team.
Head Women's Bowling Coach Bobby Henderson joins his fellow coaching colleague as an honoree. Coach Henderson was named the 2007 CIAA Bowling Coach of the Year, his first honor by the conference's bowling coaches. Coach Henderson led the Lady Broncos Bowlers to first place in the CIAA Western Division, finishing the season with a 59-1 overall record. Three of Coach Henderson's players have received player of the week honors and were named to the CIAA Women's Bowling All-Conference Team.
The Lady Broncos bowling team has advanced to the quarter finals of the 2007 CIAA Bowling Championship, keeping their hopes alive to bring home the crown.
